The War Of Libya And The Operation Lasted More Than 60 Days

Army to Libya and the operation lasted more than 60 days. The main point is that in order to claim that the War Power Resolution is applicable to an operation, the Army should be introduced into hostilities. President Obama did not want to interfere with the enemy directly to sidestep the War Power Resolution in order to prevent any type of reaction by the Congress that might have prevented the â€Å"military assessment† for Libya. Thus, the president was held accountable for what happened in the war, even though the congress approved the war. Finally, Congress decided to remind the president its power as the only â€Å"system† who has the authority to declare war. â€Å"The Vietnam-era draft made that war a central fact in the lives of millions of young men and their families, giving issues of war or peace immediacy that they do not have today.
